Our Mission
YSEP is a group of local volunteers in Arusha, north Tanzania, working with vulnerable youth and orphans.
The organisation was founded in 2004 by a group of young men from the city’s Rotary Club to give detained children at the Arusha Remand Home – many of whom have committed no crime at all – hope.
As well as spending time with youngsters inside the prison, the group aims to eliminate poverty with academic training and the establishment of small businesses.
This side of the charity's work has continued to develop and it is now working both inside and outside the prison, as well as undertaking various outreach work.

YSEP coordinator Boniface Kimboka helps to feed local
street children in Arusha
Some youngsters that YSEP works with have been verbally, physically or sexually abused. They are counselled and helped to reach their full potential in whatever training they wish to pursue.
YSEP does much outreach work to keep track of the success of graduates from these programmes. The biggest of these is the Eureka Institute which on May 10, 2008 held its first ever graduation ceremony.
PLEASE help support this wonderful organisation.
